How CBT Answer Key Score Calculation & Shift Percentile Analysis Work
Understanding raw score evaluation, negative marking deductions, and multi-shift performance metrics for competitive examinations.
Sequential Section Parsing
Official computer-based test (CBT) response sheets contain 100 to 200 questions split across sections (Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English/Hindi). Our parser scans every question block sequentially and verifies your selected option against the official answer key.
Exact Negative Marking Formula
Different exams apply different penalty ratios (such as 1/4th or 0.50 marks in SSC CGL/CHSL, 1/3rd in Railway RRB CBT exams, and 0.25 in Banking/State exams). We compute positive marks, negative deductions, net score, and attempt accuracy automatically.
Live Shift & Category Percentile
Because competitive exams are conducted across multiple dates and shifts, raw marks alone do not tell the complete story. Comparing your score against the average marks of candidates in your exact shift and category reveals your true competitive standing.
Standard CBT Raw Score & Percentile Formulas
Net Score = (Correct × +M) − (Incorrect × −N)
Where +M is positive marks per right answer and −N is negative penalty per wrong answer.
Percentile = ((N − Your Shift Rank) / N) × 100
Where N is the total number of participating candidates in your specific examination shift.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do I find my official answer key response sheet URL?
Log in to the official recruitment portal using your Roll Number and Password/Date of Birth once the provisional answer key link is activated. Click on “Click here to generate your response sheet”, copy the browser address bar URL (ending in .html), and paste it into the calculator input box above.

Can I download my scorecard as an image for future reference?
Yes! On your result page, click the Download Scorecard (PNG) button to generate a high-resolution PNG image containing your candidate details, exam shift, overall/shift/category ranks, and section-wise marks table.
